About Us

The company was founded in 1996 by Ed Cordrey after he left a nationally known real estate company.  His vision was to provide a personalized, custom service to his clients, to have the ability to negotiate commission rates with his clients, to keep more of his hard earned commissions, and to be able to provide excellent compensation to Cordrey Cochran agents. That same vision continues to drive all of the company's operations today.

A Realtor and a real estate broker, Ed has worked in the real estate industry since 1991. Previously, he worked as an accountant for Raymond James Financial, a securities firm and for Equitable Real Estate, an international real estate and financial services firm. Ed is a multi-million dollar producer.

Ed went to the University of South Florida and graduated in 1990 with a degree in accounting. In 1991, Ed worked for Raymond James Financial, in St. Petersburg for a year, then moved to the Sandy Springs, Georgia area in 1991 and worked for Equitable Real Estate Invesment & Management as an accountant for 3 years. Leaving the firm to pursue real estate sales, Ed trained as an agent with Coldwell Banker. In 1996, he started Cordrey Real Estate Services, Inc. In 1999  the name of the company was changed to Cordrey Cochran Realty, Inc.
